I’m learning so much and intrigued about how to grow tropical plants in NJ. I’m a fan of Epic Gardening. Gardening is similar to surfing, they both study and try to predict the weather

  9. I’m a gardener 7 years old 😊

  10. added a mini fridge to mine for seed storage. low heat output helps in mild 9b winter. 50ft green extension cord hidden behind beds.

  11. Great! One concern ive had is.. i get enough light for most veggies. But its close to the minimums. Ill get 6-7hours throughout the season. If i do a green how… how does that negatively impact lighting?

  12. 11.09 time stamp. Was that Tony from Simplify Gardening putting up his polytunnel?

  13. 👍

I’ve coded stuff like vent openers and auto watering units. It’s basically just a timer attached to a temp or water gauge. You can attach them to raspberry pies to recode for fun pranks lol

  15. Thank you so much! I watched this twice! I am thinking of going to school for greenhouse tech so I am sure the knowledge I’ve learned will help me. I also am thinking of making a mini hoop cover for my pumpkins as they are getting way too much water with the rain. <3

  16. Such a great video, you answered 95 % of my question.👍

  22. Very helpful video, thanks for sharing

  23. Can you remove the panels from the greenhouse during the summer. If so, does this cause wear and tear on the panel or the frame?

  24. @stephanoskritikos8028 March 13, 2025 at 12:16 pm

Hi, Kevin what I’m fascinated by is how on earth vegetables get pollinated in tunnels or greenhouses without bees.

  25. This was very helpful. Thank you!

Maam, is it too hot in the Greenhouse?

  27. @lizziesmusicmaking March 13, 2025 at 12:19 pm

Glass is also vulnerable to large hail stones. Something to think about if you get a lot of hailstorms, or hailstorms that drop large stones.

  32. How come Chris is always on your channel? Don’t get me wrong I like her, I just get excited to watch a video with you in it only to find out your only in the intro pretty much

  33. @political-social March 13, 2025 at 12:23 pm

I thought the sun kept greenhouses warm in cold and the vents kept it cool in the heat. Didn’t realize there was a need for heating and cooling besides the sun and air. kind of puts me off doing one.

    This was a great video 📹 👏

  36. I live in an apartment and have a small, inexpensive plastic greenhouse on my porch. Because there are many people like me who rent and want to get into greenhouse gardening, I feel like you didn’t address this need.

I want to know how to effectively use my greenhouse to grow vegetables in the winter. I also want to know how to keep it from getting too hot in the summer, or if I shouldn’t use it in the summer. I also want to know how soon in Spring I can begin using it considering it does get warmer than outside, but I don’t know how warm it should be to grow vegetable starters. Also, are watering needs different for plants in greenhouses? Do you have a beginner greenhouse tutorial that can answer these types of questions for the millions of us who live in apartments?

  37. One day, I will invite you to my greenhouse.

  38. I worked for 5 years in a greenhouse and nursery that used polytunnels almost exclusively. One problem we ran into occasionally is that Quonset tunnels can’t handle snowload. they collapse from really wet and heavy snow. We also used to put 2 layers on and use a blower to inflate the walls and help with insulation.

  39. Actually i was searching for something more than "A glass is a good material, because you can see through it…" But anyways.

  40. Can we know were Chris got that greenhouse or the model number of it

  41. @JohnWayneStraightcy March 13, 2025 at 12:36 pm

Appreciate your channel. I moved away from the city to the rural lands. Building my hogan rn and clearing up 3 acres of land for farming. Youre channel had been such a great help in my researching.
