  1. so another thing! my mom taught me this but you can make soap scrub in glass jars, it’s good for skin and lots of recipes online too!

  2. The fact that it lasts longer is everything. I’m so inspired by you. You also look like my sister 😍

  3. It reminds me that under one soap maker videos people were mad she is not using gloves to pack soap

  4. You can also leave the soap in water so its diluted or but Knoh from your suppliers it makes your soap instant liquid

  5. You should try hand soap sheets. I’m pretty sure you can buy them in bulk. Each person just takes a sheet and it does the job.

  6. There are also really great liquid soap refills that come in cardboard cartons, not zero waste but much better and less plastic.

  7. I made liquid soap out of a bar… now I just need a nice glass hand pump

I’m a new convert, and I have a LOT of back stock of hand soap. (Well, a couple of bottles plus a refill bottle.) I’m leaving that in my bathroom for guests to use!! One day it’ll run out, but I don’t have guests over too often, so it’ll be a long time.

People might be concerned about all the hands touching the bar. However, just as many hands would touch the pump on the liquid soap bottle.

  10. *confused in eastern European*

There are recipes to make liquid soap for hands, body, dishes and laundry by grating Castile soap. Boil in water add essential oils and a carrier oil . For laundry, skip the oils and add washing soda. You can make a couple of gallons of soap this way to last for several months using only one bar of Castile soap. Cost effective and more environmentally friendly.

  12. Good girl!!! love it! ❤❤❤

  13. People who think it’s gross to touch a soap bar that other people have touched literally or why we need a lifeguard at the gene pool

  14. … My professor for microbiology had this to say. If it is an anti bacterial soap. Then it kills bacteria. Regular soap just let’s the bacteria slide away from your hands. Every. Time…. So every Time you use a soap bar there are no bacteria left behind after each usage…….

Maybe cut it into thin strips like the ones you bring on a backpacking adventure?

  16. @jakarandalearning7131 March 13, 2025 at 12:08 pm

Thanks! That is a great idea! My kids use sooo much liquid soap, and bars of soap just get gooey in my house. Thanks!

What a genius idea 😱🥰 thank you

    Girl i love that ❤🎉

Weird question you may not see i wantto try a bidet in my apartment but not sure how to go about that as well as i have two toddlers to potty train

  20. Bars are so gross! Love the grated idea

  21. it’s soap it’s self cleaning. think about the last thing i washed and the first thing you wash.

  22. @Imma_get_me_a_hot_guy March 13, 2025 at 12:20 pm

Can’t we do hand soap, that’s better no?

  23. @ashleystewart8177 March 13, 2025 at 12:20 pm

What would you recommend for a caregiver that needs to bring your own soap.

  24. At home, everyone has their own soap bar.

  25. I sympathize but I’ll never truly understand because ITS FING SOAP U DUMBBUTT

  26. @procrastinatingvaledictorian March 13, 2025 at 12:22 pm

Y’all I take a yearly health & safety course for my daycare job. It’s a certified course with plenty of quality sources. They stress that bar soap DOES harbor more bacteria than liquid soap. But I love this hack for soap at home!

  27. @ABZILLA99CENTRAL March 13, 2025 at 12:22 pm

    Yea I would

  28. I think the grating is nice because i hate how slimy soap bars get after a while

  29. its great if this helps but I would also see there being confusion with the guests about how to use it 😅 I think it would be better to make those shavings into a liquid soap

  30. I dont mind people using bar of soap but i dont like ut cause ut leaves a weird texture on me, so if you use a bar of soap good for you!!

  31. Could you please make a detailed video on how to clean the whole house(or at least a few parts of it) in a eco-friendly way? Love your content!

  32. Love the t shirt❤

  33. @cantikaramadhanti5333 March 13, 2025 at 12:33 pm

Yess guys soap is self cleaning but the thing is some people don’t have enough basic sense to wash your hands first with water and then use soap, so i think this tips is great for public space bathroom sink

  34. @mezatolmustafa5340 March 13, 2025 at 12:34 pm

    Yes.tq

  35. Put it in a parm shaker so wet hands arent making your soap flakes all goopy and then drying into a clump.

  36. @amousenamedcrouton March 13, 2025 at 12:35 pm

I have sensory issues and let me say, thank you so much for doing this. It really is a genius idea. Of course I KNOW soap is self-cleaning, but the thought of touching soap other people have put their hands all over makes me have a visceral reaction of disgust.

  37. @Evreyoneknowsimalesbian March 13, 2025 at 12:36 pm

i personally melt mine down and then add olive oil or aloe vera and put that in a bottle.

  38. Ive been doing this with soap and have found a great container for it is the glass and metal Parmesan shakers that you see in pizzarias

  39. You can dissolve the shaved soap in hot water and put it into a pump. One bar will last a year

  40. Include a cute mini tea spoon so water doesn’t drop in and melt it!

  41. It’s SOAP it CLEANS it doesn’t harbor BACTERIA what happened to us fr

  42. They also make hand soap concentrate I believe!! So it comes in bars but you put it into water and it makes foaming hand soap plastic free 🙂

  43. You should put it in a cheese shaker then no hands touch the soap

  44. @grandejalapeno2401 March 13, 2025 at 12:42 pm

Still the same dirty hands touching the shavings. You just created the illusion of solving the problem. It’s just as disgusting.

  45. I’m trying to find a refill for my kitchen soap (method brand, aluminum gel soap, they literally don’t make gel soap anymore just foam in completely plastic bottles 😭)
and it just made me sick checking walmart! There was NOTHING! the meyers is my favorite option, if i can find s deal on it. WHYYY can’t we use aluminum more?????
I use locally made goat milk bar soap, in the bathroom. Just got some new yesterday! Like to get some from different shops everytime, different scents etc. But I’m pretty upset about this soap refill dilemma!

  46. You’re just stingy, but you can’t say it in public😂

  47. Love everyones toilet hands on the soap jar

  48. @brookethomas3810 March 13, 2025 at 12:47 pm

People do realize sometimes you wash your hands when there is gunk and goo on it right? Soap is self cleaning yea, but stuff like that will get stuck to the bar. I’ve found random hair and stuff on shared soap bars. No thanks 😂

  49. I never even considered a soap bar being dirty. Just soggy. The soap kills bacteria that sits on it. They did studies on it.

  50. You can also make homemade handsoap easily!!! Grate up a bar of soap and add it to a stainless steel pot with some water (I can’t remember precise measurements now, but my mom uses an online recipe for it). Boil it down for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, and let it cool completely/overnight. Then, just funnel it into a handpump and adjust the recipe to your desired texture. It takes a little work, but we make it by the gallon so we don’t have to make it often
